By the end you will have a ticket shop that is live, at least one ticket type, a payment account connected, a test ticket that scanned at the door, and a short checklist ticked off before you share the link.
1. Start the trial
Go to the sign-up page, pick a plan and start. There is no card and the trial runs for 28 days. If you are unsure which plan, take the middle one. You can change plan during the trial without being charged, and pricing shows the limits side by side.
Your welcome email carries two keys. The Scan key signs a phone in to your door scanner. The Sponsor key is for lead capture. Keep the email somewhere you can find it.
2. Look at the demo event
Your AdmitMe Account overview opens with a demo event, three ticket types and a few test orders. Open its shop on your phone. This is what your buyers will see, so look at it the way a buyer would: does the page explain itself in ten seconds?
Why it matters. Everything you build next looks like this. Spending five minutes here saves you guessing later.
3. Open the organiser console
The console is where you manage events, ticket types, shop text, check-in and sponsor scans. Open it from your Account overview. It opens in a new tab, so your overview stays where you left it. Sign in once so you know the way back.
4. Create your event
You have two routes. Copy the demo event and change it, which is quicker, or start a blank event. Either way, fill in:
- Name, date and time. Use the local time of the venue.
- Venue. The address people will type into their maps app.
- Description. Say who it is for, what happens and why now. Put the most important two sentences first, because most people read on a phone.
- Logo or banner. Images are resized for you, so use the best version you have.
5. Add your ticket types
Every ticket type is a category. Start with two or three: for example general admission and VIP. The category sets the price, the badge colour, the wallet pass and the check-in rules, so it is worth ten minutes of thought.
The ticket types guide covers caps, sale windows and promo codes.
6. Connect your payment account
Buyers pay through your own Stripe account, so the money goes to you and not to AdmitMe. Connect it in the console before you go on sale. Stripe may ask for identity and bank details, so do this early rather than the night before.
The payouts guide explains how it works and how to check it against your bank.
7. Buy a ticket as a buyer
Open your event shop on your phone and run a test purchase from start to finish. Check that:
- the price and the ticket name are what you meant,
- the confirmation email arrives and reads well,
- the ticket or wallet pass looks right on the phone.
Why it matters. This is the one step that finds mistakes your buyers would otherwise find for you.
8. Scan it at the door
Open the scanner on a phone, point it at your test ticket and check it in. The scanner runs in the phone browser with nothing to install from a store. The show day guide walks through setting it up properly.
9. Check, then share the link
Before you tell anyone, tick off this list.
- The event name, date, venue and description are right and proofread.
- Each ticket type has the right price, cap and sale window.
- A payment account is connected and a test purchase went through.
- A test ticket scanned at the door.
- The demo event is wiped, once you are done with it, so its test orders do not muddy your numbers. The Demo card on your Overview does this and asks you to confirm first.
- A second person knows where the console is. If your plan has a second organiser seat, invite them under Team in your Account, so someone else can open the doors if you are off sick.
Then share the shop link. You have set up your first event.
